ScorX helps Norwegian choir to sing opera

Norway’s Choir, together with ScorX just started one of its largest projects choirs ever. Over 700 Norwegian men and women are determined to sing the most powerful pieces we know from the operatic repertoire, including:

  • Aida – Triumphal March – Giuseppe Verdi
  • Carmen – Les Voici! – Georges Bizet
  • Cavalleria rusticana – Pietro Mascagni
  • Don Carlos – Dio che nell’alma infondere- Giuseppe Verdi
  • Eugene Onegin – Intermission, rolling – Tchaikovsky
  • Tannhäuser – Guest intågsmarsch- Richard Wagner
  • Turandot – Finale – Giacomo Puccini

Over a few months time is now to the participants – who come from different parts of Norway – practicing at home, among other things, with the help of ScorX then perform the final concert on himself the main stage at the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet on Sunday, 24 April 2016. In support of the final concert, they have the prestigious Norwegian Radio Orchestra and a number of top soloists.

”ScorX provides an invaluable tool for the Norwegian Choir Association and participants to raise the quality of the few repeat occasions we have,” says producer Roar Barros-Ødegård. ”Instead of GO ON sight reading so can the musical leaders focus on the musical and körsångs-specific – which makes project-choir funnier and more professional for all involved.”

The first training weekend was carried out this weekend 17 to 18 October in the various districts. The idea is to then converge in the common practice weekends in Oslo under the baton of conductor Steffen Kammler.
